Ubuntu kommt daher ohne MP3 Codec, Flash, rar Unterstützung manche M$ Schriften fehlen in den OO Packeten etc. Um das Ubuntu auf einen Schlag Desktoptauglich zu machen kann man das Packet ubuntu-restricted-extras installieren:

 sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras

Ansonsten kommt bei einer neuinstallation erstmal folgende Software mit auf mein ubuntu, Stand Ubuntu 11.10 :

 sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager compiz-plugins compiz-plugins-extra ubuntu-restricted-extras openssh-server keepassx remmina pidgin pidgin-skype skype gnome-shell gnome-themes-standard gnome-sushi gnome-contacts gnome-tweak-tool k3b vim vlc filezilla clamav clamtk wireshark wireshark-common quake gimp bmon nfs-kernel-server nautilus-dropbox nautilus-open-terminal nvidia-settings
